A photo-exhibition “Woman face of South Ossetia” is held In Tskhinval

In Tskhinval–the capital of the Republic of South Ossetia a photo-exhibition “Woman face of South Ossetia” is held. The exhibition is organized by a Non-government organization “Journalists for human rights” supported by Ministry of Culture of RSO. The exhibition is the final event of the same name project, in 2007 a round table on gender problems was held and a brochure “Let’s think how to help!?” was also issued in the framework of this project.
At the exhibition photographs of women are pictured in different ages and professions.
One can see young mothers, girls from “SIMD” company, women – workers and women – policemen…
The exhibition is also noteworthy due to short comments to each photograph on gender problems, existing in south ossetian community.
No doubt, the exhibition will be of great interest not only to Tskhinvalians, but also to guests of the capital: here one can see how many-sided ossetian women are, and each of them has the strength on which our mountains are founded.
