TransKam is blocked due to the heavy snowfall

The road services can not cope with continuous avalanches. Besides the road numerous villages are blocked by snow, reported to “Res’ correspondent representative of RF Emergency Control Ministry Vladimir Ivanov.
«A heavy snowfall continues at highlands. According to synopticians predictions it may last for two days. But even after the cessation of snowfall the road will not be open. First mountain slopes will be bombarded by snow guns to get down the avalanches and only after that the road services will clean the road»-he said.
The situation remains difficult also at the southern part of TransKam. The road services are working intensively but passage is still closed.
