Today the riot squad of South Ossetia is marking the 21st anniversary of its formation. The ceremonial column of march on the festive occasion was attended by President of the Republic Leonid Tibilov, the government officials, the riot squad`s veterans.
The President has congratulated the members of the riot squad on their professional holiday, noting that due to the selflessness of these guys people of South Ossetia are living in peace today.

International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in South Ossetia will hold an essay contest for selection of participants of the Summer School on International Humanitarian Law.

Delegation of South Ossetia consisting of the State Adviser of President of the Republic on Social Issues Rodion Siukaev and Deputy Health Minister Naira Siukaeva took part in the conference of the heads of Ministries of Labour and Social Protection of the regions of the North Caucasian Federal District of Russia As reported to IA "Res" by Rodion Siukaev, the conference had been held on February 7 in Vladikavkaz, chaired by Director of the Department of Population Policy and Social Protection of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Russia Olga Samarina.

Relatives of the missing persons of South Ossetia had recourse to the Prime Minister and the Attorney General of Georgia to determine the fate of their loved ones.

The problem of gas supply of Leningor district of South Ossetia by Georgia is no longer relevant for the Republic.
This has been reported to IA "Res" by Presidential Envoy for post-conflict settlement Murat Dzhioev. Thus, the ambassador commented on the statement of the Prime Minister of Georgia Bidzina Ivanishvili that South Ossetia would be supplied with gas from Georgia, as, according to Ivanishvili, the South Ossetian side had been asking for a long time.
