Nauru delegation met with the President of South Ossetia

The Delegation of the Republic of Nauru, headed by Assistant to the President, the Minister of Finance and Justice David Adeang met with the President of South Ossetia Leonid Tibilov in Tskhinval.
The meeting was attended by the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia Kazbulat Tskhovrebov and the Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Policy of South Ossetia and Inter-parliamentary Relations Igor Kochiev, as well as the State Adviser to the President Konstantin Kochiev.
Leonid Tibilov welcomed the delegation and thanked them for their visit to the Republic.
"We are glad to welcome you in South Ossetia, are pleased that our guest are representatives of a friendly country, that the state of Nauru recognized South Ossetia after Nicaragua and Venezuela - the president said. - Our people are grateful to your state, your whole nation for this courageous act. I assume that our peoples have similar fate. Your path to the independence was not easy, as well as our own one. Our state has become independent, so we appreciate the recognition of our Republic by your country."
Tibilov has noted that today in South Ossetia has been created all public universities.
"We have been building our relations with Russia and other countries which have recognized our country - the president said. - We will follow the path of strengthening friendly relations between our countries, and this is a matter of principle in our foreign policy. Today's meeting we consider as a continuation of the process of strengthening friendly relations between our countries."
Leonid Tibilov has stressed once again that the Republican leadership has been working tightly over the maximum rapprochement with the countries that recognized the independence of South Ossetia.
"It is our principle that we have laid in a new Treaty with Russia - extension of foreign policy positions of the RSO, expanding the range of countries that might recognize our Republic. We are working in this direction quite actively, "- said the head of state.
David Adeang, in turn, has expressed his gratitude to the leadership of the Republic for the warm hospitality, giving him a welcome address by the President and the people of Nauru.
"We are glad to have been invited to South Ossetia, and having a chance to visit your beautiful country. - Adeang said. - We came to power two years ago, and one of the things that we have initiated by the previous government - it's friendly ties with Abkhazia and South Ossetia. We have decided to be your trusted partners and friends. We are ready to provide you any support and assistance that you need. Despite the fact that our country is small, it is a member of the United Nations and all international organizations within the UN. We are ready to support your country on all platforms. We understand the challenges faced by small countries, and in this way we can offer you a lot. "
Leonid Tibilov accepted with gratitude the support and desire of the Nauru people to bring to the UN members, the number of countries that are part of it, the position of South Ossetia.
"Proclamation of our country, its further strengthening fully comply with the principles of the UN Charter" - stated Leonid Tibilov.
Nauru representatives expressed their willingness to resolve the issue of visa-free regime between the two countries, as well as to sign an agreement on international politics.
Adeang stressed the need of acquaintanceship between the peoples of South Ossetia and Nauru.
"We need to acquaint our people through direct communication, carrying out cultural exchanges between our two countries", - concluded Adeang.
South Ossetian President instructed the Foreign Ministry to study all the issues.
At the end of the meeting, Leonid Tibilov has invited the leadership of Nauru to celebrate the proclamation of the Republic on September. 20. David Adeang, in turn, invited the head of state to celebrate Independence Day - January 31st.
