South Ossetia expects the Nicaraguan President's visit in 2020

The head of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov said that he had invited President of Nicaragua Daniel Ortega to visit the Republic in 2020.

"I invited the President of Nicaragua, there is an invitation. President of Nicaragua, Daniel Ortega accepted this invitation, we hope and tentatively agreed that this could be next year," Anatoly Bibilov told reporters.

According to him, during a recent visit to this country, representatives of the leadership of South Ossetia and Nicaragua "agreed that we will develop our relations both in the cultural sphere and economic spheres."

President of South Ossetia: 95% of our citizens have Russian passports

Ninety-five percent of South Ossetian citizens have Russian passports, said South Ossetian President Anatoly Bibilov.

" 95 percent of South Ossetians are citizens of the Russian Federation. It is not only right, it is necessary," Bibilov told reporters.

He has reminded that, with Russian passports, residents of South Ossetia can solve their pressing problems, get an education, travel around the world. In addition, having Russian passports "suggests that Ossetians have always considered Russia their historical homeland," the President said.

Eight defenders of the Fatherland in South Ossetia did not live till the 11th anniversary of the August war

There are 197 people in the Support Fund for the Wounded Disabled during the Hostilities in South Ossetia from 1992 to 2008, eight guys did not live up to the eleventh anniversary of the August war, the head of the Fund Madina Plieva said at a briefing in the State Committee for Information and Press.

“And many are alive thanks to the prompt and professional help of our doctors, who today help the disabled guys,” Plieva says with tears in her eyes.

The time limit for the stay of South Ossetian citizens in Russia is finally removed

After the entry into force of the law "On ratification of the protocol on amending the Treaty between the Russian Federation and the Republic of South Ossetia of Alliance and Integration of March 18, 2015", South Ossetian citizens have the right to stay in Russia without restrictions on the duration of their stay, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation reported on Monday.

According to the press service, the law entered into force on July 29.

The “Ethno-camp” participants will visit South Ossetia

The first stream of the educational course for Ossetian youth “Ethno-camp - 2019” in North Ossetia completed its work. It was attended by 48 representatives of Ossetian youth living in different countries and cities of Russia, Ossetians from South Alania, Kazakhstan, Ireland, Germany, France, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Syria, Tajikistan and Georgia.
