March 6, 1993 - The Supreme Council of North Ossetia voted to adopt a resolution recognizing the Republic of South Ossetia. This decision was of great symbolic importance, demonstrating the unity of the peoples of Ossetia and its firm intention to seek the restoration of historical justice. It gave a powerful impetus to the development of integration processes between both parts of Ossetia.

South Ossetia will condemn the genocide committed against ethnic Ossetians at all venues accessible to it,” said the Head of State Anatoly Bibilov at a regular meeting of the Commission on memorialization of the Ossetian genocide.

June 20 in South Ossetia has become a Memorial Day for the victims of the genocide of the Ossetian people, President Anatoly Bibilov said at the meeting of the commission to perpetuate the memory of the events of 1920 on Thursday.

Heads of the legislative bodies of South and North Ossetia discussed inter-parliamentary agreement and memorialization of the genocide

On Wednesday, a meeting was held between Speaker of the South Ossetian legislative body Alan Tadtaev and Chairman of the Parliament of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania Alexei Machnev.

The heads of legislative bodies discussed the signing of an agreement between the parliaments of South and North Ossetia, as well as ongoing work to recognize the genocide of the Ossetian people in 1920.

The development of the South Ossetian-Russian relations was discussed at the Russian Foreign Ministry

The meeting of the Ambassador of the Republic of South Ossetia to the Russian Federation Znaur Gassiev and Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Andrei Rudenko was held on Monday at the Russian Foreign Ministry.

“During the conversation, a thorough exchange of views took place on a number of topical issues on the bilateral agenda in the context of the development of the South Ossetian-Russian relations, including regional security and the Geneva discussions,” the press service of the South Ossetian Embassy reports.

Bibilov and Kozak discussed in Moscow the Investment Program, the construction of power lines and the import of goods

In Moscow, a meeting was held between the President of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov and the Deputy Head of the Presidential Executive Office Dmitry Kozak, the press service of the head of state told IA "Res".

"The issues of interaction between the state structures of the two countries were discussed, including the financing of the Investment Program, the construction of a backup power line, and the modernization of the Trans-Caucasus Highway," the press service said.

There was also discussed the import of food products and vehicles.
