South Ossetia insists on the recognition of its citizens kept in Georgian prisons, the political prisoners

At the meeting with representatives of the Georgian authorities the South Ossetian side stood by its demand to recognize the citizens of South Ossetia, kept in Georgian prisons, the political prisoners. This has been said the media by Deputy Presidential Envoy for post-conflict settlement Khokh Gagloyty after the meeting of members of the Mechanisms on Prevention and Reaction to Incidents.

The Geneva platform is still important for South Ossetia – the president

South Ossetia continues to insist on signing a legally binding agreement on non-use of force against South Ossetia and Abkhazia, said Presidential Envoy of South Ossetia on post-conflict settlement Murat Dzhioev.
"In consideration of the new political situation of Georgia, we look forward to progress on this issue", - said the President of South Ossetia during the meeting with the heads of the law-enforcement agencies , referring to the results of the last 22 round of talks in Geneva.

A regular meeting of MPRI will be held at the border of South Ossetia and Georgia

Tomorrow, December 18, a new trilateral meeting of the joint Mechanisms on Prevention and Reaction to Incidents (MPRI) will be held in the Georgian village of Ergneti, which is bordering on South Ossetia. This was declared by Presidential Envoy for post-conflict settlement Murat Dzhioev at a meeting of the President of South Ossetia Leonid Tibilov with heads of the law-enforcement agencies of South Ossetia.

A session of the Council of the Inter-parliamentary Assembly of Member states Community "For Democracy and Human Rights" has been finished in Tskhinval

The X meeting of the Inter-parliamentary Assembly (IPA) of the Member States Community "For Democracy and Human Rights" has been held in the capital of South Ossetia. It was attended by parliamentary delegations of Abkhazia, Transnistria, South Ossetia, as well as members of the legislative body of the Republic.
Speaker of the South Ossetian Parliament, a Chairman of the IPA Stanislav Kochiev greeted the participants of the meeting.
