Presidium of the South Ossetian Parliament has approved a number of sectoral development programs

Programs for the development of some sectors of South Ossetia were discussed today at a special meeting of the Presidium of Parliament chaired by the Speaker Stanislav Kochiev.
As IA "Res" was reported at the press service of the Parliament of the Republic, the Chairman of the Committee on Social Policy and Health Alexander Pliev had introduced a draft sectoral program "Development of Health for 2013 2020." He has noted that the program meets all the needs and requirements of public health and has recommended bringing it for discussion at the session.

Today in the capital of South Ossetia in the Media Center "Ir" has taken place the signing of a cooperation agreement between the independent non-profit organization -"Academy of sociological analysis" and the South Ossetian Republican Public Organization "Iry Sombon." The document was signed by heads of the organizations - Alan Chochiev ("Academy of sociological analysis") and Vyacheslav Khoziev ("Iry Sombon").

August 10, 2008 Prime Minister of Russia Vladimir Putin arrived in the North Ossetian capital Vladikavkaz, where he held a meeting to coordinate assistance to the refugees from South Ossetia.
"What is happening in South Ossetia - is the genocide of the Ossetian people, and legally Russia's actions in South Ossetia are fully justified", - Putin said.
The Russian Prime Minister described the situation in South Ossetia as the "humanitarian catastrophe."

At about the midnight of August 9 there fell temporary lull in Tskhinval. As declared by the commander of the Joint Peacekeeping Forces Marat Kulakhmetov, the parties were preparing for the upcoming fighting at night.
