JOINT STATEMENT OF THE PRESIDENTS OF THE REPUBLIC OF ABKHAZIA, PRIDNESTROVIAN MOLDOVAN

Republic of Abkhazia, Pridnestrovian Moldovan Republic and Republic of South Ossetia further referred as the Sides trying to prevent repetition of the armed conflicts of 1989-1993;
considering the escalation of tension around Abkhazia, Pridnestrovie and South Ossetia from the side of Georgia and Republic of Moldova and constant provocations against the peacekeeping forces;
condemning the readiness of the authorities of Georgia and Moldova to threaten the lives of people for their political ambitions;
confirming our support to the principals of peaceful political resolution of conflicts, inadmissibility of force;

declare the following:

The Sides express their appreciation for peaceful efforts of the Russian Federation directed at preservation of peace and stability in Caucausus and the Black Sea region.

The Sides are convinced that the peacekeeping operations, carried out with participation of the Russian Federation in the mentioned region, are guarantors of the rights of nations of Abkhazia, Pridnestrovie and South Ossetia, peace and security, unique example of successful implementation of the set objectives by the peacekeepers.

The Sides consider unacceptable any activities directed at destruction of the existing peaceful operations before final conflict resolution and underline that the only transformation can be military maintenance of the resolution results with the leading role of the Russian Federation.

Change of existing format of the peacekeeping operations without considering the will of the people of Abkhazia, Pridnestrovie and South Ossetia by engaging third countries and international organizations can cause unpredictable consequences, responsible for which will be the authorities of Georgia and Moldova.

The Sides are applying to the International Community to evaluate the provocative acts of Georgian and Moldovan authorities, directed at destabilization of the situation in the Caucasus and the Black Sea region and are calling for all the interested sides to abstain from any acts that can threaten peace and stability in the region.

Due to the escalation of the situation around Republic of Abkhazia, Pridnestrovian Moldovan Republic and Republic of South Ossetia, the Sides decided:

create joint peacekeeping forces.
