On 28 February, at 15:25 in Dmenis village of Tskhinval district of the Republic of South Ossetia an act of terrorism was committed. The explosion device planted in a TV set, exploded in the building of the local police station; at the same time in the neighborhood Russian Federation President early elections were held. The explosion resulted in numerous wounded and life losses. According to provisional data the TV set in which the explosive device was planted was left at the MIA post by the Georgian by passers who ostensibly transported it to the “temporary administration” at Kurta village. At present arrived at the spot specialists and JPKF representatives are verifying the details of incident. This is, beyond doubt well planned action of the Georgian special services and another link of Georgian policy of state terrorism towards population of South Ossetia. One can notice clear connection with the threats of Georgian authorities regarding admission of Russian Federation citizens located in South Ossetia to the elections of the President of Russian Federation. The day before the car of the leader of “Edinstvo” party Zurab Kokoev was blown up, fortunately he managed to survive.
As the developments indicate the Georgian side does not refuse from attempts of physical elimination of South Ossetian politicians and public figures and power structure servicemen as well as the plans of deteriorate the situation in the zone of conflict.
