A living house came under Georgian side"s fire

On 11 January, a fire was opened from the Georgian village of Nikozi bordering with South Ossetia (south-west part of Tskhinval) targeting popiulated area of Tskhinval. This incident was reported to the RES Ageny by Deputy Defense Minister of the RSO Ibragim Gasseev. Accroding to him, «at 20:50, sub-machine gun fire has been opened from the direction of Nikozi cemetery located 400 m from the South Ossetian border; then it coninued with an RPG shot with the shell self-exploding in the air in proximity with a living 9-storeyed house in Gafez street.
«If the RPG shell reached the living house, there would have been casualties among civilians», he underscored.
