The Government of South Ossetia: The Settlement of Problems in Leningor District Remain theb Priority

The Chairman of the Government of the Republic of South Ossetia Vadim Brovtsev paid a visit to Leningor District of South Ossetia, reported the press-service of the RSO Government. The Government Chair was accompanied by his first Deputy Alexander Zelig, the Chairman of the State Committee for Rehabilitation Projects Zurab Kabisov, the Chairman of the State Committee for Architecture to the Ministry of Economic Development Dmitry Breusov and Interior Minister Valery Valiev.
“The Chairman of the Government visited the sites under reconstruction and those building which need rehabilitation in the district”, reads the press-service report.
“Among the issues discussed during the inspection visit were: the maintenance of the road to Leningor, the results of new electric line installation, construction of power distribution station in the village of Zakkor”, underlined the press-service representatives.

It was also stressed that the Head of Leningor Administration Alan Djussoev briefed the Government Chair on the most vital problems in the District – the absence of communication and road connection that hampers the efforts of the District Administration aimed at reaching out to remote villages of the District. While at the Leningor hospital, the Chief Doctor of the hospital Zaur Margiev told Vaidm Brovtsev about the necessity to rehabilitate the hospital building which is in use for 40 years. “Other acute problems are: due supply with medicines, equipment upgrading and staffing with qualified specialistsении”, explained Zaur Margiev. The Government commission has also visited education institutions there. “It was decided to fund the construction of School #2 in Leningor, as well as to open a branch office of the National Bank of the RSO.”
Based on the results of this visit, Vadim Brovtsev tasked relevant structures to quickly elaborate a plan for the settlement of the identified problems. The Prime-Minister underlined that “the settlement of the problems of Leningor District remain among priorities. We should increase the living standard of the population in all districts of our Republic”.
