The construction of the road of the state importance from Tskhinval to Leningor district of South Ossetia is ongoing faster than last year, reports the Head of District Administration Alan Djussoev.
According to him, by the end of the year the road will be asphalted.

"It is expected that the road under construction will be of a high quality compared with the current road. It is to be equipped with all modern road infrastructure to include parking for heavy trucks, two helipads for emergency evacuation, lighting at some segments, equipped bus stops, sound-absorbing screens, retaining walls with a total length of about 7 kilometers ", he stressed.
According to Djussoev, "the road has strategic importance for the Republic, as it will promote the reintegration of Leningor District with the rest of South Ossetia, most of which was occupied by Georgia for 18 years."
The length of new road will be 72-74 km with the width of the carriageway 7 meters.
