South Ossetian President Eduard Kokoity tasked to verify proper use of funds allocated to the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare of South Ossetia for treatment and rehabilitation of people affected by the Georgian aggression in August 2008. Corresponding instruction has been given to the Chairman of the State Control Committee and Economic Security of South Ossetia Batraz Tokazov at the working session, which was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister Domenti Kulumbegov, Head of the presidential administration Arsen Gagloev and Health Minister Otar Gassiev.

The president explained that these were the funds allocated in 2009 and 2010 from a special bank account to assist the population of South Ossetia affected by the Georgian aggression.
"I will personnally control the implementation of this task. You need to check all the documentation provided by the Ministry of Health on the issued permits and to determine whether there are other duplicate documents and fraud (or agreed deal) in expenditures from special accounts for medical treatment of our citizens ", said the president.
He requested Tokazov that he addresses the issue himself, and if cases of unauthorized use of these funds are revealed to take appropriate measures to punish those responsible.
It is worth reminding that the special account to assist the population of South Ossetia affected by the Georgian aggression was created in August 2008. Donations from individuals and organizations from Russia and other countries of the world were transferred to this account.
