The Ministry of Foreign Affairs: South Ossetia will not allow aggravation of situation on the border

The Foreign Ministry of South Ossetia is informed about the so-called «peace march» to South Ossetia which is being prepared by the Georgian leadership. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia has announced, that the Republic will not allow any complications on the frontier. As the Foreign Minister of South Ossetia Murat Dzhioev has informed the news agency "Res", «according to the available information, the authorities of Georgia are going to aggravate the situation around the border on the eve of August, 26, when South Ossetia will celebrate the third anniversary of recognition of the Republic of South Ossetia by the Russian Federation».

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced, that according to the information, the so-called «peace march» to South Ossetia is about to take place, and as if the persons whom in due time the authorities of Georgia compelled to leave South Ossetia, will take part in this action. «It is not novelty to the authorities of Georgia. They at least two-three times a year resort to such provocations, each time trying to do it before the holidays which are celebrated in South Ossetia in order to aggravate the situation», - the Minister has underlined.He has noticed that in order to avoid any complications along the border and to avoid the aggravation of the situation, South Ossetia, through the intermediaries on Mechanisms of the Geneva discussions,appealed to the organizations which are located in the territory of Georgia, including observers of the European Union, to exert influence upon the authorities of Georgia.«As to the border of South Ossetia, I`d like to notice that it is protected reliably, and we will do everything to prevent aggravation on the Republican border», - Dzhioev has emphasized.It should be reminded that on June, 30 the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia made a statement about the expected provocation on the Republican border. Today the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia has also made a statement that the Georgian authorities are intending to carry out a large-scale provocation with regard to celebrating the third anniversary of recognition of independence of the Republic of South Ossetia by the Russian Federation on August, 26. It is said in the announcement that the so-called «peace march» is expected to start from the Georgian settlement Odzisi to the frontier post, leading to the South-Ossetian settlement Leningor.
