As he has said, at present the water passage project is in the stage of approval.

«The regional administration of Tskhinval has helped us to build a road to the water passage» - informed Verchenko, having specified that the project had been developed in 2009. He has added that the exact date of the building start is unknown yet. «We are waiting for approval of the project by Geneva, then we should discuss all the nuances, including the technical ones, with the corresponding bodies of South Ossetia», - Verchenko has noted. In his opinion, the building will begin this year, and completion of the work is expected in 2012. «We are to work in difficult conditions, which will affect the rate of the project realization» - Verchenko has added. In conclusion he has noticed that the length of the pipeline from the source to the planned reservoir is 6800 m; moreover, it can take certain time to build the reservoir and the distributive pipeworks in the village.
