On September, 20, in day of celebrating the 21st anniversary of the Republic Day the first Russian- South Ossetian business forum «Construction of the modern state through effective economy» will be held in South Ossetia. The main objective of the Forum – is economic promotion in South Ossetia, strengthening economic relations with Russia, and also attraction of foreign investments in the economy of South Ossetia.
The Forum work will start with the plenary session where participants will deliver their reports. Within the frames of the forum a set of intergovernmental and interdepartmental agreements and memorandums on cooperation between Russia and South Ossetia in the field of economy is planned to be signed. Besides, the joint session of Association of commercial and industrial chambers of the North Caucasian federal district and the Commercial and Industrial Chamber of the RSO will take place. Discussion of vital topics during the thematic round tables in three sections will proceed the work of the business forum. Participants of the forum will discuss questions of formation of favorable investment climate in the Republic, prospects of the international economic integration, results and prospects of economic cooperation of the RSO and the Russian Federation, the basic directions of construction and upgrade of the RSO economy infrastructure, and also an issue and prospects of the Russian-South Ossetian humanitarian cooperation. Following the results of the forum the final statement adoption and also the press conference will take place. For participation in the business forum the official delegation of representatives of Presidential Administration and federal enforcement authorities of Russia, and also representatives of non-governmental agencies will arrive in South Ossetia. The organizer of the forum is the noncommercial organization, the development fund «Institute of the Eurasian researches». The Russian delegation will also take part in the celebratory actions devoted to the Day of Republic. Visitors of the capital will lay wreaths on the graves of the victims of struggle for independence of South Ossetia and the Russian peacemakers who were lost during the repulsing the Georgian attack in August, 2008.
