Five violators have been detained on the border of South Ossetia and Georgia

The Russian frontier guards have detained five citizens of Georgia for illegal crossing of the frontier of South Ossetia and Georgia. As the news agency "Res" has been informed at the press-service of the FSS Boundary management of Russia in the Republic of South Ossetia, «on September, 19 at 18:05 employees of the frontier management of the FSS of Russia in the RSO detained five citizens for illegal crossing of the frontier near the village Balta (Znaurskiy district) moving from Georgia towards South Ossetia.

Being investigated the detainees have explained that they violated the frontier deliberately for purchasing medicines, visiting the hospital and their relatives living in Znaurskiy district of the Republic. For further trial the violators have been transferred to the Frontier service of KGB of South Ossetia. As informed by the KGB of South Ossetia, during the investigation it was found out that the four detained persons were the citizens of South Ossetia. They have been fined and released by a court order. Today at 17:00 one more violator – a female citizen of Georgia will be expelled from South Ossetia and transferred to the authorities of Georgia.
