Teachers from South Ossetia have received trainings in Italy

On invitation of the international non-governmental organization «International Alert» 16 teachers from South Ossetia have received trainings in Italy. It has been informed IA RES at the press-service of the Ministry of Education. They have noted, that since war in August, 2008 «International Alert» has realized several projects in South Ossetia.

«In particular, one of the programs has supposed trainings for South Ossetian teachers in order to help them through the educational programs to overcome the social and individual trauma, which a lot of schoolboys and their families have received as a result of the war, - has been told at the press-service. In the course of three days the questions connected with difficulties of dialogue with children at schools, problems of different nature, basically a suicide issue among the senior pupils, and the question of increasing the activity of teachers at school, have been discussed at the trainings in Italy. The Ministry of Education has also informed that at present 32 South Ossetian teachers have at various times received trainings in Brussels, Istanbul and Amsterdam. During the trainings the teachers have been trained of practical methods and skills of work with affected children not only at schools, but also in different communities.
