The 17th round of the international discussions has started in Geneva

The 17th round of the international discussions on safety in Transcaucasiahas started in Geneva. The South Ossetian delegation is going again to raise the question of legally obliging document on force non-use against South Ossetiaby Georgia.

According to the head of the delegation-the Plenipotentiary of the President of the RSO on questions of postconflict settlement Boris Chochiev-we should advance our basic issue – the legally obliging document,ensuring non-use of force, taking into considerationthe different statements of the Saakashvili regime”, - the Plenipotentiary has underlined.Besides, according to the Plenipotentiary, the humanitarian issues and the situation at the frontier of South Ossetia and Georgia are expected to be considered during the discussions.It should be noted that representatives of South Ossetia, Russia, Abkhazia, the USA, Georgia, EU, OSCE and the United Nations take part in the Geneva discussions.The South Ossetian delegation includesthe Plenipotentiary of the President of the RSOon questions of the post conflict settlement Boris Chochiev, the State Adviser to the President of the RSO Konstantin Kochiev, the human rights ombudsman of the President of the RSODavid Sanakoev.It should be noted that the 17th round of the Geneva discussions will be held on October, 3 -4.
