To order of the Central Election Committee a required number of ballots for presidential elections of South Ossetia have been printed in South Ossetia. It has been reported to IA "Res" by the Chairman of the CEC of South Ossetia Bella Plieva. "34 000 ballots have been printed for the population of South Ossetia. This number includes 3%, which we can print. Additional 1000 ballots are printed for Moscow, 700 - for Sukhum, as well as for two polls in the Upper Ruck for the citizens of South Ossetia, living in North Ossetia", - Plieva has said. She recalled that, according to the parliamentary elections in 2009, about 16 thousand citizens of South Ossetia are living in North Ossetia. And when calculating the number of ballots, CEC has come from this figure."We will not have any difficulties. All the remained ballot papers will be destroyed. They should be canceled, in accordance with the current legislation,"- Plieva has underlined.

The CEC Chairman excluded the probability of the fact that the ballots may not be enough for all the voters. Plieva has also reported that one of the candidates for president of South Ossetia, Ivar Bestaev, yesterday filed an application to the CEC, which removed his candidacy."In this regard, all the electoral commissions will have to delete the name of Bestaev off the ballots ", - the head of the CEC has explained. Responding to the question of IA "Res", whether these ballots would have been declared invalid, Plieva said that this probability is excluded; because the fact that Bestaev withdrew his candidacy had been officially announced. Speaking about the readiness of the polling stations for the voting process, the CEC head has noted that, except for those where the repairs took place, all the rest are ready entirely. "I think, by November, 11 all the polls without exception, will be ready," – Plieva has said. She has also noted that observers of the presidential elections in South Ossetia were invited by the presidential administration, parliament, government and the CEC. "Observers from Russia, Transdniestria, Nagorno-Karabakh, Poland, Germany and other countries will arrive in South Ossetia" - Bella Plieva has concluded. Elections of the President of South Ossetia will be held on November 13. 16 candidates will be contending for the Presidency. The same day the referendum on the Russian language state status will also be conducted.
