Ex-presidential candidate of South Ossetia Alla Dzhioeva withdrew her signature under the compromise agreement signed December 9, 2011 on resolving the political crisis in the Republic after the November presidential election. As reported to IA "Res" by Alla Dzhioeva, the letter with notification of withdrawal from the agreement and the requirement to the Acting President Vadim Brovtsev to transfer her power was sent to the presidential administration on January 17.

In her opinion, the terms of the agreement, signed with the ex-president Eduard Kokoity are not being met. "I want to thank Mr. Brovtsev for the positive steps that he outlined at this time. But at the same time, I am slightly surprised at the absolute disregard of me as the representative of 17 000 citizens of South Ossetia, "- Dzhioeva said. She has stated that the refusal to meet her requirements "will be regarded as illegal retention of power with all the ensuing consequences." "We have decided to hold a rally and act within the law, as 17 000 citizens of South Ossetia voted for me, and today I consider myself a legitimately elected President of South Ossetia. The only motto is "Fidelity to the Law and the Constitution of South Ossetia", - the former candidate has underlined. She said that she would hold a rally on Saturday, January 21, and would appeal to the current authorities of the Republic "to return the situation to the legal channel."
