Heads of the Ministries of Emergency Situations of Russia and South Ossetia have discussed issues of bilateral cooperation

A meeting of the Russian Federation Minister for Civil Defense, Emergencies and Disaster Relief Vladimir Puchkov with the Minister for Civil Defence, Emergencies and Disaster Relief of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov has been held in Moscow.
As IA "Res" has been informed by Anatoly Bibilov over the telephone from Moscow, a constructive conversation took place during the official meeting

"The sides discussed bilateral cooperation between the Emergencies Ministries of Russia and South Ossetia within the frames of the international agreement", - said Bibilov.
According to the minister, they discussed, in particular, the reaction during the emergencies at the regional level and so on.
It should be noted that the Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of South Ossetia on cooperation in preventing and relief of disasters was signed February 11, 201;it enabled to expand cooperation between the emergency departments of the two countries.
It should be noted that one of the first humanitarian actions of the MES of Russia was the bringing of peacekeeping battalion into South Ossetia in 1992, which stopped the bloodshed in the difficult times of the Georgian-South Ossetian conflict.
In continuation ofthe subject was the activity of MES of Russia in South Ossetia in the elimination of the aftermath of the Georgian-South Ossetian conflict, caused by the aggression of Georgia in 2008. Then was established the Federal Operational Headquarters headed by the Russian Emergencies Minister Sergey Shoigu;it included representatives of other ministries and departments. Over 11,500 tons of humanitarian aid was delivered to South Ossetia. In accordance with the decision of the leadership of the Russian Federation since 2008 with the support of Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in South Ossetia were built and repaired capitally six fire departments.
The cooperation between the emergency services of the two countries has been developing since the establishment of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of South Ossetia, thanks to the position of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the course of the humanitarian operation in 2008. During this time, some success has been reached. Representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of South Ossetia participated in several international events arranged by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia. Representatives of South Ossetia have the opportunity to study in higher education institutions of Russia. Also, the South Ossetian experts are trained in the MES training centers in Krasnaya Polyana, in North Ossetia and Dagestan.
