South Ossetian fighter Inal Tasoev won the freestyle wrestling World Championship in Baku among the athletes born 1995-1996.

As IA "Res" has been informed by the coach of the athlete Tamerlan Kochiev, "our athlete performed in the weight class up to 85 kilograms. He fought four bouts. During the first bout he won a landslide victory on points with a score of 8-0 over the representative of the Polish team Alexander Voshtachni. He then prevailed with a score of 8-2 over the Ukrainian athlete Bogdan Hruschai".
According to Kochiev, in a fight for reaching the finals Tasoev won a clear victory over the American athlete Michel Swig.

In a stubborn battle victory went to Tasoev. At the tournament Tasoev was representing the national team of Russia.
