A boxing evening will be held in Tskhinval. As the news agency "Res" has been informed by a member of the Boxing Federation of South Ossetia, the honored coach of South Ossetia Vitaly Slanov, "the event is scheduled for October 12, 2012. The tournament is held to promote further development of boxing in our Republic, the healthy lifestyle, physical education and sport".

According to him, within the frames of the tournament will be held 7 boxing matches - three of them among the amateur boxers and four will be the rating fights among professionals ", - said Slanov.
"Our amateur boxers will get into the ring. Among them are the young promising athletes: Champion of Russia among cadets, silver youth medalist of Russia Soslan Tedeev and the three-time winner of the European championship among schoolboys Marat Pliev," - said the agency interlocutor.
Soslan Tedeev performs in the weight class up to 63.5 kg, and Marat Pliev - in the weight class up to 75 kg.
"One more bout will be fought by the North Ossetian boxer - amateur, world-class master of sport, two-time winner of the European championship among youth, winner of the World Cup in 2011, a member of the Olympic license tournament Emir Akhmedov - continued Slanov. - The opponents of these guys will be the boxers from different cities of the Russian Federation."
South Ossetian promising professional boxer Murat Gassiev (weight class up to 91 kg) will fight his first eight-round rating bout against the Ukrainian athlete Vladimir Shcherbakov.
"Murat Gassiev is 19 years old. By now he had seven fights and won all of them. In four games he scored a knockout victory. His opponent is thirty-two. In professional boxing Shcherbakov held 16 fights, 11 of which he won; in four matches he was able to send his opponents in a knock-out "- said Slanov. - Another our talented boxer Georgy Kelekhsaev will hold his first fight as a professional boxer in the weight class up to 63.5 kilograms against the athlete from Zlatoust Shafkad Elias. "
The coach has added that within the frames of the tournament will also take place a rating fight between a boxer from Vladikavkaz Aleksei Martynov (weight class up to 66 kg) and Sergei Ivanov from Tyumen.
"The WBC youth champion Konstantin Ponomarev will also get into the ring. In the coming days will be determined his opponent, "- said Slanov.
He has noted that the event is organized by The Boxing Federation of South Ossetia and Russian promotion company "Ural Boxing Promotion".
Active assistance in organizing the tournament has been also provided by the Committee for Youth Affairs, Sports and Tourism of South Ossetia.
