An athlete from Tskhinval Akhsar Tadtaev took the third place in the Thai boxing championship of Russia among athletes born in 1997-1998. The tournament is being held in Anapa within the frames of the V-th Open All- Russian Youth Martial Arts Games.

As the coach of the athlete Gennady Martirosov has told IA "Res","in the battle for the finals Tadtaev met with a representative of the strongest Russian Thai boxing school from Kemerovo. Unfortunately, lack of experience of our athlete in comparison to his rival and the excessive desire to win, including the lack of competitive experience prejudiced the success."
According to him, wanting to win a TKO, Tadtaev from the very beginning of the fight began to lead a fight at a high pace.
"In the first round our fighter had an advantage over his rival, but he overrated his strength andexerted himself too early. His more experienced opponent seized the opportunity and managed to turn the tide of the third round of the fight in his favor. In the end, a sportsman from Kemerovo won a close score victory, and Tadtaev has become the bronze medalist of the tournament, "- he added. – Anyway, I'm pleased with the performance of our athlete, despite his defeat in the battle for the final. It was his first performance in the championship of Russia, and Tadtaev did his best. He is a talented fighter and he will have a bright future."
Tadtaev performed in the weight class up to 60 kilograms. He is a candidate for master of sports. The athlete is trained by the North Ossetian Thai Boxing Federation coaches Gennady Martirosov and Verdi Tariev.
