Russian interagency group consisting of the experts of different ministries and departments, headed by a representative of the Border Service of the Russian Federation Federal Security Service Grigory Ganovichev has visited the border villages in Tskhinval district of South Ossetia. The delegation was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister of South Ossetia Alla Dzhioeva, a head of Tskhinval district Alan Pliev, Deputy Economic Development Minister Inna Grunwald.

During the meeting with the dwellers of Dmenis Gregory Ganovichev noted that the delegation had arrived in South Ossetia to provide practical assistance to the population of the Republic.
"The main purpose of today's work is to meet with the population, to feel the spirit of people, so it is natural that we have chosen the border villages. To us, as border guards, it is interesting and important to find out how can the border service units in their work rely on the local population, are there any issues or problems within the competence of the Border Guard Service, which we can solve or suggest the solutions "- said Ganovichev.
The head of the delegation has stressed that it is important for the Russian border guards to maintain friendly relations with the local population.
"Sure to be some misunderstanding, but any antagonistic contradictions that may affect the state of border security are unacceptable to us, and we will solve all these issues," - said Ganovichev.
Members of the delegation asked the residents of the border villages, whether they hadany problems with the border regime, particularly, at the border crossing.
As the head of the Dmenis administration Khasan Gigolaev said, in general, they had no problem with the border guards.
"We have a good relationship. We arrange joint events, play chess, football, volleyball. They provide trainings in our schools, "- said the head of administration.
The villagers told the guests about their current problems. According to one of the women, the issue of water supply of Dmenis has not been resolved yet.
A head of the Tskhinvali district administration Alan Pliev assured the residents that the problem would be solved.
The sides have also discussed the problems of sales of agricultural products, in particular, fruit.
"Customs duties are very high; people within a year work in their orchards, reap the harvest, but they don`t know whom to sale the fruit. So this year no one was gardening - it is unreasonable, "- said one of the residents of Dmenis.
A head of administration of the village of Satikar Nikolay Doguzov, who was also attending the meeting, raised the issue of the villagers of the Ossetian nationality living in the Georgian village of Zardiantkari, which is bordering South Ossetia.
"On June 29 of this year, the Interior Ministry of Georgia moved its police station a few hundred meters closer to the state border of South Ossetia. This caused much tension among the dwellers of the village, "- said Doguzov.
At the end of the meeting the villagers expressed their gratitude to the participants of the delegation and to the Russian border guards.
"We are very pleased with their work. Our kids sleep peacefully thanks to the Russian border guards. "- underlined one of the participants of the meeting.
Then the interagency group and representatives of South Ossetian authorities visited the village of Khelchua, bordering the village of Zardiantkari.
"For a few months we cannot return home, we have been living with our relatives. My cattle also stayed home, "- said one of the residents of the village Zardiantkari.
According to Deputy Prime Minister Alla Dzhioeva, this issue is under study at the office of the RSO Presidential Envoy for post-conflict settlement.
The villagers of Artsev said at the meeting that the main problem was the crossing of the state border.
"One of my children is living in Georgia, other one - in Vladikavkaz and for me it is very hard, I'm caught in thecrossfire. There is not a single family in this village, which has no relatives in Georgia ", - explained the resident of Artsev Lily Kazieva.
Taking the opportunity, the villagers gave Alla Dzhioeva the application for the President of South Ossetia with a request to solve this problem.
In turn, Dzhioeva assured that she would hand over the application to the head of state.
"I think that this question, as urgent for the residents of Artsev, will be considered with regard to the public interests of the Republic of South Ossetia", - underlined Dzhioeva.
The residents of the village of Artsev have also told the guests about the most pressing issues: there is no water supply; there is no technical equipment and ambulance in the local health center, the scheduled transport service and many other unsettled issues.
Deputy Prime Minister has noted that the current investment program is designed to promote socio- economic development of South Ossetia, which provides for the implementation of many programs, one of them - the program on supporting a village.
"We came here to study your needs and make some certain adjustments to the existing draft investment project", - assured Dzhioeva.
At the end of the meeting the residents were presented souvenirs with symbols of the Border Service of the Russian Federation.
