The 22- round of the Geneva talks on security in Transcaucasia is ongoing in Geneva. As reported to IA "Res" by Presidential Envoy of South Ossetia on post-conflict settlement Murat Dzhioev, the South Ossetian delegation focused on the situation in the region.

"The issues of security and the signing of a legally binding agreement on non-use of force are being discussed at the talks", - said Dzhioev.
He noted that the South Ossetian delegation had also raised the issue of the fate of the missing citizens of South Ossetia Pliev, Khachirov and Khugaev, as well as releasing the citizens of South Ossetia, kept in the Georgian prisons.
"It was sounded that they, in particular, Dudaev, Kochiev, Valiev and Zasseev had been convicted on trumped-up charges to suit the political ambitions of the then leadership of Georgia", - stressed Dzhioev.
It should be reminded that the Geneva talks are held in accordance with the sixth point of the Medvedev-Sarkozy plan, signed by the presidents of Russia and France on 12 August 2008. The talks are attended on an equal basis by delegations of South Ossetia, Abkhazia, Georgia, Russia, the U.S., the UN, the OSCE and the EU.
