Author and a host of special programs of the State Committee on Television and Radio "IR", General Director of "Media Art Production" Tamerlane Dzudtsov issued an official statement which denied information disseminated by the Chairman of the Assembly of Peoples of Georgia, a member of the Moscow Ossetian community Gocha Dzasokhov, made at the meeting of the Council with the initiative group of Ossetians in Moscow February 2, 2013.
"Gocha Dzasokhov has informed the participants of the meeting as if I, Tamerlane Yefimovich Dzudtsov, contacted him on behalf of the South Ossetian leadership and offered to organize this visit. I declare resolutely that I have personally appealed to him on my behalf to arrange my meeting with the Georgian Exarch. Earlier I had been seeking a meeting with Ilia II to ask him a few questions as a journalist. And I did not notify the leadership of the Republic about my trip, being confident that as soon as I informed them - the meeting would not take place. This meeting could be organized only with the assistance of Gocha Dzasokhov,"- said in the statement Dzudtsov.
According to him, what goal he pursued from this meeting will be soon known to everybody, as the film will be edited and aired on TV "IR".
"I agree with the fact that the priest of the state, hostile to South Ossetia, has no right (neither moral, nor political) to call a recognized sovereign state the "Tskhinvali region of Georgia." It is well known that Ilia II –a spiritual inspirer to Gamsakhurdia and Saakashvili, who have committed genocide of the Ossetian people, - has not yet evaluated all that happened between the RSO and the Repulblic of Georgia "- is said in the text.
Dzudtsov appeals to the South Ossetian public to "wait for the movie to be released..."
