Yesterday in Moscow was held the æmbyrd (meeting) of the action group of the Moscow Ossetians, who had recently spoken against the meeting of members of the leadership of the Moscow Ossetian Community with the Catholicos of Georgia Ilia II.

At the meeting were announced the reasons of formation of the action group and plans for further actions.
In a statement of the organizers of the action group, in particular, is said:
January 26 representatives of the Council and the Council of Elders of the organization held a separate meeting with the leader of the Georgian Orthodox Church, of whom people of South Ossetia have an utterly low opinion. Ilia II is directly responsible for the genocide of the Ossetian people. Thus, the meeting of the functionaries of the Moscow Ossetian Community with the Georgian Catholicos was perceived in South Ossetia and among many Moscow Ossetians, as an act of national treason, as an expression of severe abuse.
This act caused a wave of indignation of the public of South Ossetia, as expressed in the statements of the Republican Parliament, the Embassy of South Ossetia, the political parties and public organizations.
The action group of the Moscow Ossetians has also expressed the disagreement with the position of the Moscow Ossetian Community, which refused to condemn the visit of its functionaries. In its statement the action group joined the unanimous request of the South Ossetian parliament, political parties and public organizations of the Republic of the exclusion of these functionaries from the community and strong condemnation of their actions. Otherwise, the signers have reserved the right to form an alternative Moscow Ossetian Community, laying responsibility for the split in the Ossetian community in Moscow on the Council of the Moscow Ossetian Community.
In response to these demands, members of the Community Council voiced the insults directed against the signers, saying about their "bad manners" and in an insulting manner expressed their "willingness to address the gaps in their upbringing." They accused them of "betrayal, the desire to return South Ossetia to Georgia and to the fold of the Georgian church."
We should state with regret that today there is no the wide Ossetian representation in Moscow. There are only several public organizations of up to three or four dozen people, ie in fact, in the form of a private clubs for a small group of individuals.
This format does not contribute to the unity of the Ossetians in Moscow. Moreover, this proprietary format facilitates the penetration of the unwanted people into their leadership, turning these organizations into the instruments of various lobby groups.
Today we will talk about creating a new Ossetian diaspora; it must become a center of a broad representation of the Ossetian, otherwise its creating makes no sense.
The ideology of the organization should be simple and clear. The Moscow Ossetian diaspora, first, should consolidate representatives of the Ossetians and the natives of North and South Ossetia of other nationalities, living in Moscow. Consolidation should happen regardless of their ethnicity. All the talks about the creation of the organization for one of the Ossetian ethnic group are speculative and are made, on the one hand, by the people who want to hold a monopoly on the Ossetian representative office in Moscow, and on the other hand – by the people who want to split the Ossetian public in Moscow.
The Moscow Ossetian diaspora will be created with one purpose - to consolidate the Ossetians, who do not consider the existing organization their representation. The vast majority of such people in Moscow have come from the North and South Ossetia. We believe that the consolidation of the Ossetians has a simple and clear formula - the unity, that is, we are happy with the same things, and we condemn the same things.
Of course, this is not socio-politicalbias, which can be different for representatives of any other ethnic group.
But we must have universal values, which should be absolutely indisputable for any Ossetian. Each Ossetian should recognize that Kosta Khetagurov, Makharbeg Tuganov, Vaso Abaev, Issa Pliev are our national pride.
At the same time we must have things to which any Ossetians should have one and the same attitude. The concept of the absolute evil must be unambiguous for our people. A person, who justifies the killing of children in Beslan, has not the right to be called an Ossetian, despite the fact that he is the Ossetian by blood. The attitude towards such renegades must be unambiguous.
The attitude to the genocide of the Ossetians in South Ossetia should also be absolutely unambiguous. And the attitude to the person, who finds the destruction of 10% of the population of South Ossetia the "misunderstanding", must be unambiguous.
The heads of the organization, the Diaspora members should be guided by clear understanding of what is good and what is bad for Ossetia as: North Ossetia-Alania and the independent Republic of South Ossetia as a part of the Russian Federation.
In this sense, all members of the Moscow Ossetian Diaspora must be like-minded.
After the debates and the exchange of views the participants of the action group made the final declaration:
1. It is proposed to announce the holding of the Constituent Assembly "Moscow Ossetian Diaspora" on March 23, 2013.
It is proposed to elect a coordinator today, which would form the working group from the participants of the action group to arrange the Constituent Assembly of the Moscow Ossetian Diaspora. The working group under the direction of the Coordinator will have to conduct preliminary consultations on the formation and composition of the governing bodies of the Moscow Ossetians Diaspora, prepare the constituent documents.
Nar Gagloev is proposed a candidate for coordinator to arrange the Constituent Assembly.
2. It is proposed along with the Constituent Assembly to announce the signing of the Protocol on the establishment of the Association of South Ossetian public organizations in Moscow. To date, three public organizations announced their intention to enter into this association. We are appealing to the Ossetian public organizations in Moscow, including the Moscow Ossetian community, to enter into the Association of the public organizations in Moscow for the unity of the Moscow Ossetian community representation for coordination of the actions of the organization for the common good of the Moscow Ossetians, North and South Ossetia.
