The third session of the Commission on giving political and legal assessment to the Georgian aggression against South Ossetia from 2004 to 2008 has been held in the Parliament of South Ossetia.

As IA "Res" was reported at the information-analytical center, the parliament session had been chaired by Speaker Stanislav Kochiev. Deputy Speaker Yuri Dzitstsoity presented the information on the progress of work of the Commission. It was noted that during the period since the last meeting of the Commission, it had been carried out a lot of work. In particular, the materials and analytical reports, received from the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Defence and the KGB, had been systematized and adapted to the body text. It had also been received information about the missing, the OSCE activities, and the Russian peacekeepers. Variety of chronological lists is also available.
However, the basic material had to be received from the General Prosecutor's Office of the RSO. But the amount of information there has been so large that even the attraction of extra staff to work with the available material has not allowed completing the work on time. For this reason, Dzitstsoity proposed to continue the work of the Commission and submit the final text of the report later.
The speakers at the session were also members of the Commission Boris Chochiev, Mira Tskhovrebova, Amiran Deacons, and Merab Chigoev who have also supported Dzitstsoity.
The meeting of the Commission was attended by Boris Attoev, Batraz Takazov, Merab Zasseev, Valery Yakhnovets, Gennady Kokoev, Alexander Pliev.
The next meeting of the Commission will be held as soon as is available the preliminary text of the report on the political and legal assessment of Georgia's aggression against South Ossetia (2004 -2008).
