Security Councils of South Ossetia and Russia are working on the implementation of the Memorandum of cooperation

The Memorandum of cooperation signed between the Security Councils of South Ossetia and Russia, defines the main directions of cooperation between power structures of both countries. This was stated by the President of South Ossetia Leonid Tibilov at the extended meeting with the government of the Republic of South Ossetia said Security Council Secretary Anatoly Pliev.

According to Pliev, a work plan for the implementation of all points of the memorandum will be developed in the near future.
"Our main focus will be on ensuring security and enhancing the protection of the state border, as well as cooperation in the field of economic security, immigration policy and the war on terrorism," - said Pliev.
He has also informed that within the framework of implementation of the memorandum it is planned to establish the joint Russian-South Ossetian commissions.
"It is assumed that the joint commission meetings will be held twice a year in Moscow and in Tskhinval," - said Pliev.
In turn, President Leonid Tibilov has noted that the Memorandum is an important document and indicates the strengthening of Russian-South Ossetian relations in all areas.
It should be reminded that the signing of a memorandum on cooperation between the Security Councils of South Ossetia and Russia took place in Moscow on July 12. For the South Ossetian side the document was signed by the RSO Security Council Secretary Anatoly Pliev, for the Russian side – by Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev. The sides have noted that cooperation between the two countries in the field of security is already under way, and the signed document will give an additional impetus to cooperation in this field.
