Festive events will be held in South Ossetia timed to the fifth anniversary of its independence

The fifth anniversary of Russia's recognition of the independence of South Ossetia Republic will be celebrated by festive events. As the news agency "Res" was reported at the commission for the preparation and conducting of socially significant events, the celebration of this significant date will begin August 24 - when the South Ossetian and Russian alpinists will climb the highest peak in South Ossetia - Khalatsa mountain (3938 meters above sea level). On the same day will open a personal exhibition of the artist Felix Gabaraev.

The celebrations will continue on the next day by general prayer to God in all the churches and holy places of the Republic. August 25 Tskhinval will host an international conference "The August aggression of Georgia and Russia's recognition of the state independence of South Ossetia and Abkhazia." The conference participants will discuss the geopolitical implications, the lessons and conclusions of the events of August 2008.
On the eve of the day of recognition in Tskhinval will be put into operation one of the central streets. In the settlement of Znaur will take place a big children's party "Visiting the Ossetian children." The events will be concluded on August 25 by the concert of classical music "Midsummer Night's Dream ..."
"The Recognition Day - August 26-will begin with a ceremony of laying wreaths at the memorial sites, and then in Tskhinval will be conducted a solemn meeting of the public, devoted to the fifth anniversary of the recognition of the state independence of South Ossetia", - said the official.
On the same day in the Tskhinval district will start an ethnographic festival "The Ancestral Heritage" and in the capital of the Republic will take place a theatrical show, "Thank you, Russia!"
The events will be completed with fireworks.
