If the Georgian nationalists want to demonstrate their solidarity with Ukraine, it would be logical to do it in the center of Tbilisi, but not at the border of South Ossetia, said Presidential Envoy for post-conflict settlement Murat Dzhioev in his interview with the news agency "Res," commenting on the protest rally organized by the Georgian authorities.

According to the envoy, it was the obviously planned provocation, which is in line with the current policy of the Georgian authorities, the "Saakashvili's heritage."
"We are not surprised that the Georgian nationalists were shouting slogans in support of Ukraine. The Georgian and Ukrainian nationalists have good experience of mutual support, we experienced in 2008, "- said Dzhioev.
The envoy has noted with concern that the Georgian authorities contributed to this gross provocation, which was not spontaneous, as evidenced by the fact that the protesters "were accompanied" by the "Georgian police and the media."
"In this regard, we feel extreme dissatisfaction with the fact that the EU Monitoring Mission in Georgia is not fulfilling its duties. Since the EUMM is responsible to ensure security in the territory of Georgia, adjacent to South Ossetia and prevent any provocative actions that might aggravate the situation, "- concluded Dzhioev.
