Statement of the political party "Justice Labor Development" on the international reaction to the concern of Russia about the situation in Ukraine
February 1, 2014, Russian President Vladimir Putin, in accordance with the Constitution of the Russian Federation, made an appeal to the Federation Council of the Russian Federation "On the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine to normalize the political situation in this country. The Federation Council, in accordance with its rules has unanimously approved this decision.
This caused a wide public resonance in mass media of Western Europe and the USA.
In the information flow are dominating the wordings "aggression", "annexation", "occupation".
Such interpretation of the events has become the basis for assessments and statements of a certain part of the so-called Western community, often leaving no space for impartial analysis and objective perception of the covered events. Political systems of Western countries assumed as a basis these formulations to assess the concern of Russia about the situation in Ukraine, excluding the natural inclination of the so-called journalistic environment to screaming headlines and titles in order to attract the reader (viewer), caused by a certain competitive basis and a commercial component in the functioning of the economic entities in the media.
Leaving a rating of efficiency of the absolute perception of the information flow by the political systems, though the issue of their effective functioning in this regard is obvious , the stated circumstances have led to misunderstanding of Russia's actions regarding the situation in Ukraine by a certain part of the so-called Western community:
1.In perception of Russia's reaction to the situation in Ukraine by the so-called Western community, was left without proper attention a statement of the Russian Foreign Ministry dated February 24, 2014, which expressed "concern about the situation in Ukraine," concern about flooding the streets of many Ukrainian cities with illegal paramilitary groups committing violence against the civilian population, concern over the "neo-Nazi propaganda ideology", concern about the threats against religious Orthodox shrines in Ukraine.
2. In perception of the situation in Ukraine by the so-called Western community has not been paid sufficient attention to studying the content of the civil protest in November 2013 - February 2014 in Ukraine, what political groups were in the forefront of the protest and what was their ideological basis.
3. In perception of the situation in Ukraine by the so-called Western community remained aloof the emphasis on compliance with the Constitution of Ukraine, the mechanisms of formation of the so-called new government in Ukraine, as well as the subsequent legislation.
Political party "Justice Labor Development" believes that in the absence of a detailed study of the situation in Ukraine by the so-called Western community arose wrong perception of the situation in Ukraine by a number of Western countries. Proceeding from the above, we also believe that the expressions and assurances of unconditional support for the new government of Ukraine are hasty. In this regard we cannot but recall the situation in the South Caucasus between South Ossetia and Georgia, as well as between Abkhazia and Georgia, after the collapse of the Soviet Union. During this period in the early 1990s, the world community in a hurry, without careful, impartial and competent studying of the situation, carried out a "parade of international recognitions" with regard to Georgia.
What was the result of such haste? All witnessed this in the coming years, including in August 2008.
Based on the foregoing, and returning to the subject of today's statement, the situation in Ukraine, the political party "Justice Labor Development" believes that there should be created all conditions for the international, legal and impartial examination of the situation in Ukraine, in order to develop solutions, taking into account the rights of all citizens of this country, following the constitutional process.
