Presidium of the South Ossetian parliament approved the document on political and legal assessment of the actions of Georgia in 2004 - 2008. The issue was brought up for discussion by Vice-Speaker Yuri Dzitstsoity during today's session.
According to him, in the work on the document took an active part all members of the Commission for political and legal assessment of Georgia's actions, established in March 2013.

"We have taken into account all suggestions and comments of the parties, agencies involved in the work on the document, we have received appropriate review," - said Dzitstsoity.
The main thesis of the document, according to Dzitstsoity, is that in August, 2008 there was a large-scale aggression of Georgia against South Ossetia and Russia.
In addition, the political and legal assessment reflects that Georgia violated the Geneva Conventions and the Declaration on the Right of Nations to Peace. Western partners, especially the United States, helped Georgia to prepare and carry out aggression. Forcing Georgia to peace, according to the document, was a necessary step taken by Russia, aiming to curb the aggressor and prevent genocide of South Ossetians. The recognition of South Ossetia is a logical completion of the act on enforcement of the aggressor to peace and a reliable guarantee of not repeating the genocide of South Ossetia. Dzitstsoity has explained that after the adoption of the document at the session of the Parliament, on its basis it is necessary to prepare a brief summary, which should include all fundamental aspects, and to publish this document in the media.
"The text of the document contains the information provided by law enforcement agencies and special services of the Republic, which may not be published," - said the deputy.
Speaker Stanislav Kochiev, in turn, offered to publish the full text of the document with the required reductions.
"People of South Ossetia must know what we have done, and what happened in August 2008," - said the speaker .
MP Gennady Kokoev noted the need to resume the work of the government commission to assess the material damage caused to South Ossetia in August 2008.
According to Stanislav Kochiev, this document is the intermediary link, which must be followed by assessment of the damage as well as of the activities of the leadership of the Republic during the period of military aggression of Georgia.
According to MP George Sanakoev, on the basis of this document, it is also necessary to develop and adopt the law on criminal prosecution of those who reject the genocide of the Ossetian people.
Following the discussion it was decided to submit the document for consideration of deputies.
