Today in the border village of Ergneti has been held a regular meeting in the format of Mechanisms to prevent and respond to incidents (MPRI). The participants discussed the situation at the South Ossetian-Georgian border, considered a number of incidents occurred since the previous meeting.

As told reporters after the meeting Deputy Presidential Envoy for post-conflict settlement Khokh Gagloyty, South Ossetian side had pointed out several facts of violation of the regime of the state border by the Georgian side. In particular, the South Ossetian participants expressed their protest in connection with the approach of the Georgian police to the state border line of South Ossetia. "The participants were familiarized with the materials on two incidents on the road section Koshka-Keri. We expressed a very negative attitude to this kind of actions, which, in our opinion, are deliberate and provocative, "- said Gagloyty.
He also reported on June 21 at the border of South Ossetia to the north of the village of Ditsi on the Georgian territory about 50 people "held some strange meeting."
"They were shouting something towards South Ossetia in a language incomprehensible to us, - said Gagloyty.
According to him, in South Ossetia expect the reaction of the European Union Monitoring Mission in Georgia to such actions. Gagloyty reminded about the protest rally, organized by the Georgian authorities in March, 2014, near the state border of South Ossetia, stressing that in this case ECMM did not expressed its position, not reacting to this fact.
"The position of international observers is incomprehensible to the South Ossetian side", - he said.
Gagloyty has added that during the meeting was raised the question about the fate of the resident of Leningor district of South Ossetia David Basharuli, who disappeared in June.
"The Georgian side expressed concern over the fate of this man, while he was a resident of Leningor district, and in connection with his disappearance in South Ossetia was initiated a criminal case, are carried out investigative activities, " - said Gagloyty.
The next meeting of the MPRI will be held on July 30.
