November 26-30, 2014 Istanbul hosted the International Festival of Arts " The Days of Ossetian Culture in Turkey", organized with the support of the Russian Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Culture of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, with the participation of the Ossetian society "Alan" in Istanbul, which this year has marked its 25 anniversary.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia, to take part in the festive events was invited the delegation of the Republic of South Ossetia headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs David Sanakoev and the First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Konstantin Pukhaev.
At a grand meeting Pukhaev read out a welcome address on behalf of the President of South Ossetia Leonid Tibilov. Then it took place a concert of the leading groups and stars of Ossetian variety performers and opera singers, in particular the performance of the State Academic Dance Group "Alan" under the direction of the Honored Artist of Russia Elbrus Kubalov, Honored Artist of South Ossetia and North Ossetia-Alania, opera singer Amaga Gotti. Famous designer Isolda Gogichaeva presented her new collection of folk costumes of the Caucasus; it was also organized an exhibition of handicraft.
During the festival the delegation of South Ossetia met with representatives of the Ossetian community, who came to the festival in Istanbul from various Turkish cities. During the meeting were discussed issues of further strengthening and development of friendship and cultural ties with compatriots living in Turkey, the organization of tours and participation of creative teams of South Ossetia in various cultural events in Turkey and vice versa, as well as to hold various round tables and conferences.
