The Investment Program to promote socio-economic development of South Ossetia in 2014 has been successfully implemented by the joint efforts of Russian and South Ossetian experts, said the Head of the Department of the Russian President for socio-economic cooperation with South Ossetia and Abkhazia Oleg Govorun at a working meeting with members of the South Ossetian government and heads of contracting organizations.
"By joint efforts and daily work we have done do a lot. I am grateful to all the builders who are working here, restoring the Republic. I am grateful to the Government of South Ossetia and President Leonid Tibilov. If there had not been such an understanding of the common problems, we would not have achieved such results,"- said Govorun.
He assured that Russia would continue to maximally support South Ossetia, and wished South Ossetian colleagues successful completion of this year.
"Let`s be optimistic in 2015," - said Oleg Govorun.
The Russian official has added that if there are all necessary documentation from contractors and other relevant agencies, the financing of the investment program will open in January 2015.
President of the Republic Leonid Tibilov has noted that before the end of the year there is little time and builders need to accelerate the pace to finish the few volumes of work.
"Throughout the year we worked almost without interruption, to achieve all our plans. Nevertheless, despite such pace of work, our main goal was quality. Our joint work has led us to good results, and I think, this approach to the matter will be working well in the future, "- said the head of state.
