The adoption of the sanctions "list of Otkhozoriya-Tatunashvili" is a manifestation of cynicism and irresponsibility by official Tbilisi, stated the South Ossetian Foreign Ministry.
It should be reminded that on June 26 the Georgian government adopted the so-called sanction list of "Otkhozoria-Tatunashvili", consisting of citizens of South Ossetia and Abkhazia, who allegedly committed various offenses against persons of Georgian nationality.
The diplomatic department of South Ossetia reacted to the actions of the Georgian authorities, accusing Tbilisi of trying to use the death of Archil Tatunashvili in the populist interests of the ruling circles.
"Taking into account the permanently unstable internal Georgian political situation, especially complicated recently, the conclusion is that Tbilisi decided to use the death of the Georgian citizen Archil Tatunashvili to extract all possible political dividends in the populist interests of the current government," noted in Tskhinval.
The Foreign Ministry of South Ossetia stressed that they regard the list as another indicator of the irresponsibility of the policy of official Tbilisi and the manifestation of fear of having to realize their own guilt for the crimes committed.
"The cynicism of such actions is obvious, and this is happening now in the country, the authorities of which expelled more than one hundred thousand Ossetians from 1989 to 1992, carried out terrorist acts in the territory of South Ossetia for many years, have a long a list of inhuman crimes that do not have a statute of limitations - the massacre of Ossetians in the village of Eredvi on March 18, 1991, the shooting of a column of Ossetian refugees near the village of Zar on May 20, 1992, finally having carried out a night bombardment of Tskhinvaland the subsequent military aggression against South Ossetia in August 2008," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reminded.
As noted in the comments of the official representative of the Foreign Ministry of South Ossetia, such "sanctions" actions will not improve the atmosphere of the Geneva discussions and will complicate the work within the framework of the IPRM.
In addition, it was stressed in Tskhinval that under the existing conditions, South Ossetia reserves the right to apply appropriate measures against a certain category of Georgian citizens.
"I would like to see that in the current "Georgia of the European type " to be realized that fairness and justice are inevitable and will find in due time the perpetrators of crimes committed against Ossetians," stated the South Ossetian Foreign Ministry
