South Ossetian Foreign Minister is participating in the XI Eurasian Economic Forum

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia, Dmitry Medoev, is taking part in the XI Eurasian Economic Forum, which started today, October 25, in Verona, Italy.

According to the press service of the Foreign Ministry of South Ossetia, over 1,100 delegates from more than 40 countries arrived to participate in the forum.

The main topic of discussions at this international platform is “The economy of trust and business diplomacy from the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean”.

Among the participants in the discussion are representatives of government agencies, business circles, political and public figures, diplomats, experts, journalists from Austria, Belarus, USA, Brazil, Great Britain, Germany, Israel, India, Iran, Spain, Italy, China and other countries.

The forum’s agenda involves discussing the development of an economy of trust from the Atlantic to the Pacific, ensuring the energy security of Greater Eurasia, introducing advanced innovations in the agro-industrial sector and the activities of financial institutions in the new geopolitical environment.

The forum is attended by the head of Rosneft, Igor Sechin, Deputy Prime Minister, Italian Interior Minister Matteo Salvini, President of the Foundation for International Cooperation, former Italian Prime Minister Romano Prodi, Iranian Ambassador to the Russian Federation Mehdi Sanai, Russian Ambassador to Italy and the Republic of San Marino, Sergei Razov; Russia's Permanent Representative to the European Union; Vladimir Chizhov; Russian Ambassador to the Vatican; Alexander Avdeev, President of the Cognize Eurasia Association; Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bank Inteza "Antonio Fallico and many others.

Matteo Salvini and Igor Sechin spoke at the opening ceremony of the forum, who read out a greeting of President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin to participants and guests of the 11th Eurasian Economic Forum.
