April 18, 2019 Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of South Ossetia to the Russian Federation Znaur Gassiev on the invitation of the Government of St. Petersburg and the Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in the Russian Federation took part in the opening ceremony of the exhibition “Your pain in my heart, Vietnam. The help of Soviet military medics to the fraternal people ", which is taking place in the framework of the cross year of Russia and Vietnam, the press service of the embassy of the RSO in the Russian Federation reports.

The event was attended by the government of St. Petersburg, diplomatic missions accredited in the Russian Federation, military doctors from different countries. The exhibition included materials from the collections of the Military Medical Museum about a little-known for a wide audience of facts anti-human ways of war in Vietnam 1965 - 1974., violation of the norms of international humanitarian law, the application and consequences of the use of toxic means on civilians and the nature of the country.

The exhibition is part of a large project “The spiritual heritage of Ho Chi Minh. 50 years later”, implemented by the twin cities of St. Petersburg and Ho Chi Minh City on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the death of the Vietnamese leader Ho Chi Minh.

On May 17-19, within the framework of this project, Ho Chi Minh Days will be organized in St. Petersburg. In the fall of this year, an exhibition of the Museum of War Victims from Ho Chi Minh will be exhibited in St. Petersburg.
