Foreign Ministry of South Ossetia on Monday reacted to the trick of the Georgian journalist Georgy Gabunia on the air of the Rustavi 2 TV channel, who began its program with rude remarks about Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"What we have seen on the Georgian TV channel is nothing but a disgusting and wild trick of a humanoid creature that should h not have place in the civilized world. It's hard to believe that this is the opinion of one individual character. There is no doubt that this position coincides with the opinion of the official authorities of Georgia ", - said representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia.

The Foreign Ministry has noted with regret that a large part of the Georgian society adheres to this position.

"This is the diagnosis obtained as a result of various social experiments of Western political consultants, for the third decade conducted over the younger generation in Georgia. The situation that developed after the visit of the State Duma Deputy Sergei Gavrilov to Georgia exposed the real state of the Georgian internal and foreign policy, its state ideology. This is the ideology of chauvinism and Nazism. The Ossetians and Abkhazians, who have experienced all the horrors of the Georgian fascism, are well aware of this for a long time," the commentary says.

The Foreign Ministry has stated that "the masks have been dropped, the myth of the Georgian hospitality and friendliness, created mostly by Soviet cinema, has been debunked."

Now, according to the text, everyone clearly understands with whom South Ossetia had to deal all 70 years of forced stay in the "Soviet Georgia" and the next 30 years of the so-called "Georgian democracy".

“I hope that now it has finally become clear to skeptics that South Ossetia will never again be part of Georgia! The Nazis are not on our way,” the Foreign Ministry said.

On Monday, members of the Council of the State Duma expressed their support for bringing Rustavi-2 journalist Georgy Gabunia to criminal liability and his extradition to the territory of Russia, the State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin told reporters.

"It has sounded at the Council of the State Duma, and everyone agreed that it was necessary to prosecute the representative of Georgia who behaved in a boorish way, inappropriately, insulting the head of state, to extradite him to the territory of Russia so that our court would determine the measure of responsibility in accordance with the legislation of our country ", - said Volodin.

Georgian journalist Georgy Gabunia insulted, in the first place, the viewers of his country by his prank on Rustavi 2. His action cannot be assessed from the point of view of professional ethics - it is far beyond its borders, said Timur Shafir, secretary of the Union of Journalists of Russia.

"There is no point in discussing the boorish trick of George Gabunia from the point of view of journalism ethics or norms of the profession. This vile act lies outside the ethics of a normal person," said Shafir on Monday in an interview with TASS.

According to the Union's Secretary, “Gabunia offended, among other things, all the viewers of Rustavi 2, who were forced to listen to his monologue, with a stream of belched dirt.” Shafir has noted that in a civilized civil society and the professional community of journalists, no one will shake hands with a person after such antics

“What to do next and what measures to take to ensure that this does not happen again is a headache for the editors of Rustavi 2. I can’t imagine anything like this today in Russia or in any other country, especially declaring adherence to European culture and values, "he concluded.

Gabunia on Sunday in his author's program "Postscriptum" for more than a minute obscenely expressed to the leadership of Russia. His remarks were strongly condemned, in particular, by Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili, Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze, Head of the Parliament Archil Talakvadze, former Speaker of the Parliament Irakli Kobakhidze, Mayor of Tbilisi Kakha Kaladze. Director general of the TV channel Nika Gvaramiya also criticized the TV presenter.
