President of South Ossetia has visited Sapun Mountain in Sevastopol

South Ossetian President Anatoly Bibilov has visited the Sapun- Mountain memorial complex in Sevastopol on Monday. Accompanied by State Duma deputy Dmitry Sablin, he laid flowers at the Eternal Flame at the Obelisk of Glory.

Director of the Sevastopol Military History Museum-Reserve Nikolai Musienko conducted a tour for guests on the diorama "Assault on the Sapun Mountains May 7, 1944." Then he presented Bibilov with the book “Heroes of the Battle for Sevastopol”.

At the exhibition of military equipment, the guests were shown the T-34, IS-2 tanks and the famous Katyusha, restored this year.

The guests could also see a model of the reconstruction of the Sapun- Mountain Memorial Complex. The works should be completed by May 2020.
