International School ZOND has started in North Ossetia

Among the participants are representatives of South Ossetia, Cameroon, Cote d’Ivoire, France.

The Zond summer design school was launched at the Kvantorium-15 children's techno park, according to the official website of the North Ossetian Ministry of Education. It will last two weeks. The school is held as part of the All-Russian project "Campus of Youth Innovations", which brings together specialized shifts across the country to create a common innovative educational environment, introducing effective training technologies. Among the participants are representatives of South Ossetia, Cameroon, Cote d’Ivoire, France.

In the framework of the ZOND school, more than 200 young people from 12 to 25 years old are working on real projects in the tourism industry. They were divided into eight high-tech areas: information technology, unmanned aerial vehicles, industrial design, industrial robotics, hi-tech, biotechnology, as well as machine learning and media.

Today, has taken place the school’s grand opening as well as a briefing at which partners - representatives of the tourism industry presented their problems and requests: The Committee of the North Ossetia-Alania on Tourism, the Committee for Youth Policy, Physical Education and Sports of Vladikavkaz, Alania National Park and others. During the first day, the school participants decided what they want to work on, in which teams and what resources are needed to implement their ideas. Tomorrow they will begin to implement their projects.

The ZOND school is being funded by the RF Ministry of Education’s grant “Every Child’s Success” as part of the All-Russian project “Campus of Youth Innovations”. The project brings together many activities of continuing education institutions across the country to create a common innovative educational environment and introduce effective training technologies. Organizational and financial support for the school is provided by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania.
