The State Security Committee of South Ossetia on Wednesday adopted another statement in connection with the provocative actions of the Georgian side in the border zone.

“On the disputed section of the South Ossetian-Georgian border in the area of ​​the settlement of Uista (Tsnelis), by order of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Republic, the State Security Committee is carrying out special actions to ensure the safety of the South Ossetian citizens living in the border zone, and to localize security threats in the border area in the region of the settlements Tsnelis and Gvirgvina, "the KGB statement said on Wednesday.

It should be reminded that on Tuesday evening the State Security Committee of South Ossetia announced on the ongoing provocations on the state border with Georgia. In particular, in the border strip, in the vicinity of the village of Uista (formerly Tsnelis) in Znaur district of the Republic, the Georgian side is building a checkpoint guarded by Georgian security forces.

Earlier it was reported that on August 24 of this year, in the vicinity of the village of Tsnelis in Znaur district of South Ossetia, Georgian security forces cut down a forest and led a road, put up a post and a Georgian flag, thereby violating the state border. And on August 25, in the vicinity of Sinagur village in Dzau district it was continued a construction of a site for equipping Georgian police facilities.
