Deputies of the Parliament of South Ossetia, headed by Speaker Alan Tadtaev, left for Dzau district of the Republic, to the village of Sinagur, from where was received the information about another provocation of the Georgian side.

“The parliamentarians immediately responded to the information received from Sinagur and at the meeting held on Wednesday, at the suggestion of the Speaker, they decided to go to the state border to get acquainted with the situation on the spot and see what is happening in the area of the village of Khakhet, which, together with all the inhabitants, was covered by a landslide in 1991, ”the press service of the legislature told IA“ Res ”.

According to the Parliament, it’s about putting up a Georgian police post in the border zone, in connection with which the deputies intend to assess the situation together with the border guards, “examine where the state border line runs”.

Due to the trip to Sinagur, the meeting of two parliamentary committees scheduled for 12:00 was canceled - on foreign policy and interparliamentary relations and on national politics, culture, religion and the media, where it was supposed to hear the information on the progress of the negotiation process in the format of the Incidents Prevention and Response Mechanism (IPRM), regarding the situation in the village of Uista (Tsnelis).

The border villages of the Sinaguro-Karzman zone in Dzau district are one of the most remote from the center of the Republic.

Earlier, the State Security Committee reported that they received information about new attempts by the Georgian side to provoke tension on this section of the state border of the Republic with Georgia.

“August 25, p. in the vicinity of n. Sinagur village in Dzau district continued construction of a site for equipping Georgian police facilities. It is assumed that the post will be equipped with standard-type of residential cars,” the KGB said in a statement provided to IA “Res. “

The statement also said that the Georgian authorities planned to overhaul the section of the concrete-coated road that connects the Georgian police post with the village of Perevi (Georgian section).

The State Security Committee warned that these actions of the Georgian side are provocative in nature and do not contribute to stabilizing the situation on the state border of South Ossetia with Georgia.
