South Ossetian and Russian MIA have discussed implementation of the bilateral agreement

A delegation of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs arrived in Tskhinval on a working visit. Russian law enforcement officers were received by Interior Minister, Major General of Police Igor Naniev, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reports.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of cooperation between the two departments, paying special attention to the joint work on the implementation of the Agreement on co-financing of expenses for the phased increase of material and technical support of the internal affairs bodies of the Republic, monetary allowances and social guarantees of employees of internal affairs bodies.

Interior Minister Igor Naniev has expressed gratitude to the Russian party for the fruitful cooperation that is being carried out within the framework of the interdepartmental document: “The agreement works efficiently, this is evidenced by an increase in monetary allowances for the staff of our department, an increase in material and technical support. Thanks to the help of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, we were able to pay the monetary compensation that the families of the deceased employees of the internal affairs bodies had been waiting for since 2012, as well as compensation to the personnel for sanatorium-resort treatment.”

Igor Naniev has added that the Ministry of Internal Affairs will further develop bilateral relations between our departments and states, as well as to combat crime, protect public order and the security of citizens of both states in strict accordance with the responsibilities assigned to the internal affairs bodies.

Representatives of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs also noted the high level of interaction between the law enforcement agencies, as well as outlined plans for further cooperation, aimed at improving the material and technical base of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of South Ossetia. According to Vadim Oberemenko, the internal service colonel, the successes, achieved during the implementation of the Agreement, were impossible without the determination and perseverance of the Republic’s Ministry of Internal Affairs.

For rendered assistance in solving the tasks assigned to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of South Ossetia, representatives of the delegation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia were presented the departmental awards.
