Russian President Vladimir Putin has noted the positive dynamics in the development of Russian-South Ossetian relations and the growth of trade between the two countries over the past year.

“I know that you will also have a meeting with the administration and the government. In general, relations are growing– it is good. Last year we recorded a growth in trade turnover, which cannot but rejoice. The investment program in the amount of 4.2 billion rubles has also been completed. I know that you still have some thoughts on this matter: how to move as far as possible and what is the priority for the Republic. I’m very glad to see you. Welcome! ", the Russian head of state said on Friday at the meeting in the Kremlin with the President of the Republic Anatoly Bibilov.

Bibilov, in turn, has noted that in the last two years it has been possible to almost completely implement the investment program: in 2019 - by 97%, in 2018 - by 100%. According to him, this is the result of interaction with the Minkavkaz and with the Presidential Executive Office.

“I believe that thanks to our close ties and close cooperation, we have established this work, and very serious work has been done on budgeting. That is, all the tasks that were set before us were actually fulfilled,” the President of South Ossetia said.

Bibilov also, taking the opportunity, congratulated the Russian leader on the anniversary of the KGB.

The meeting of the Presidents of the Republic of South Ossetia and the Russian Federation continued in a one-on-one format.
