Ministry of Health and Social Development of South Ossetia told about the condition of patients with coronavirus infection.

On the morning of May 14, 30 cases of coronavirus infection with COVID-19 were laboratory-confirmed in the Republic.

"The condition of the patients is satisfactory, among them there are no patients with high fever, they are being given antiviral and symptomatic therapy," the press service of the Ministry of Health said.

They clarified that the disease in patients is proceeding in a mild form.

"In the red zone" 10 people are working, who today will be replaced by the same number of colleagues, "the Ministry emphasized.

It was noted that the old maternity hospital is also used for quarantine of citizens who arrived in the Republic.

“Today there are 10 people there,” the press service said.

Doctors working in the "red zone", according to the press service, are provided with protective suits, personal protective equipment. Health facilities also have enough consumables.

According to the South-Ossetian Consumer Supervision Committee, there are 279 people under two -weeks quarantine, 139 in medical institutions of the Republic and 73 in the districts. In addition, 43 people are self-insulated at home and another 24 are quarantined at the hotel “Alan”.
